The Challenge

Develop and launch a digital signage solution for the Alma Mater Society at Queen’s University – and deliver it on time and within budget. The Society needed a system that would be simple to implement and manage, something student members could easily update, and that had the potential to generate revenues in the digital realm.

The Solution

EyeLook Media created a custom content management system (CMS) that requires minimal training, making it easy for students to keep digital content fresh and relevant. Our CMS solution features different security levels to ensure students are only able to update specific zoned content without affecting other areas of the digital signage.

Our team installed 5 separate screens located in 2 buildings, as well as a 2 x 2 (4 screen) video wall in the cafeteria. All screens are able to accommodate external advertising to generate revenue for the Alma Mater Society.

We also worked with the Alma Mater Society to offset upfront costs through a lease program, allowing for a more flexible, budget sensitive digital signage solution.

The Results

The eye-catching video wall with supporting screens throughout the buildings provides multiple opportunities to create awareness and supportive content relevant to the student population.

Thanks to our user-friendly custom CMS, Alma Mater Society students and staff are able to easily and quickly refresh and update digital signage content with minimal training.
