THE CHALLENGE
Many Canadian Tires wanted to add Digital Signage to their stores but didn't have the time or staff to implement and maintain it. Some installed screens but then they remained turned off after maintaining content became too difficult. The stores always have new products, seasonal items, and many other things to keep customers up-to-date with but did not have a good method of displaying these topics to customers in the stores. Knowing there is a large opportunity to convert Auto customers to Retail shoppers became an immediate focus with roughly 82% of Auto customers not shopping within the store.

THE CHALLENGE
Covent Garden Market is a bustling location in need of a navigation solution that would allow delivery drivers and customers to easily locate market vendors and services. Delivery drivers were frequently asking the closest vendor for directions. Vendors and general market layout change regularly, making the use of paper maps costly and ineffective. Additionally, there was a need for an efficient way to inform customers of local events, important dates, parking information, etc.

Create a new brand to better reflect new owners and their growth plans, and to modernize the feel of the store. Increase overall sales of in-stock product and special promotions, while improving the customer experience inside the store. Provide engaging, educational and influential content for customers.

THE SOLUTION
Part 1: Branding
EyeLook Media first reworked the previous logo to have a new design. It provided a starting point for further changes, and launched an energized feeling into the store.
Part 2: Digital Signage
EyeLook Media installed digital signage into three main areas of the store.
EyeLook Media provides strategic content development on an ongoing basis, as well as the monitoring, management, and technical support.
Part 3: Website
EyeLook Media created and maintains a website that has online shopping available Canada wide. Monthly sales, events and products are kept up-to-date.
Part 4: Interactive Kiosk
A custom developed Interactive Kiosk utilizing Samsung's hardware provides a wide range of knowledge on fish types and their care to customers browsing the store. The kiosk is used by both customers and staff. It provides staff with a training resource and tool to use with customers. Customers are now able to find information on their own if a staff member isn't available. Quite often customers just want to buy the fish they think is pretty, when in reality it may or may not work in their aquarium, or require care they are not willing to provide. This kiosk gives all the information they need to make the correct decision. QR codes also direct customers to relevant products on the website.
A custom website was built for staff to update the kiosk through an easy to use interface that allows them to quickly add or edit current fish information.
THE RESULTS
200% increase in sales of featured products!
All branding, messages and sales are consistent, and workflow for store employees is more efficient within the store. Customers are excited about the changes and the new e-com website enables sales across Canada.
